The church in honor of the great martyr Dimitrius of Thessalonica was originally built in the village of Sukhi Avraly in 1842 with the funds of parishioners and was consecrated six years later. From 1904 to 1906, the wooden church, which had become too small, was replaced by a stone one, preserving the previous dedication of the main altar. It is believed that this stone church was lost in the 1930s, and now a metal cross stands in its place. In the early 2000s, a new prayer house appeared in the village, located in a one-story brick building of pre-revolutionary construction. The second part of the building houses the local police department, and the entrance to the prayer house is from the street. The prayer house in honor of Dimitrius of Thessalonica has no architectural features, except for a small icon of the Mother of God above the entrance.
