Children's Museum Center in Novgorod Kremlin

Фото 1
The Children's Museum Center hosts personal exhibitions of famous Novgorod artists, thematic displays, and exhibitions of children's works. Three exhibition halls are equipped for this purpose.

Every week, the center organizes tours for children through the exhibitions. As part of the "Weekend Club," workshops on various crafts are held for children and their parents, helping to unlock children's creative potential and introduce them to centuries-old Russian culture. The center invites the best educators and masters to conduct these workshops.

The center also organizes folklore programs timed to folk holidays, using various genres of children's folklore, including educational and entertaining games. The exhibition "The City of Boy Onfim" introduces visitors to the history of medieval Novgorod and the daily life of its people, turning "immersion in history" into an exciting journey. Visitors can join the exhibition's hero, Onfim, in a medieval school, at the Novgorod market, play military games, see ancient estates, and stroll along the bridges of Great Novgorod.

A talented artist, N.I. Dunin, helps visitors feel like residents of a medieval city. His works attract attention for their accuracy of reconstruction and vivid depiction, showing Great Novgorod and its inhabitants as he saw them while studying archaeological finds and communicating with archaeologists and historians. The artist allows a glimpse into medieval Novgorod life through the eyes of a child.
