One of the key attractions of Kronstadt is the famous range lighthouse with wooden cladding, rising 30 meters above the ground. Built in 1888, it still serves its purpose, albeit as a backup lighthouse. Since it is still operational, entry is not allowed, but it can be admired from the outside.

The lighthouse is located in the city center, on the grounds of an ancient dock, the construction of which began in 1719 and was completed in 1752. The first lighthouse at this site was started in 1722 under the guidance of Miketti and Braunstein. Initially, a grand structure with a large arch at the bottom for the passage of ships was planned, but this idea was not realized. The original model can be viewed at the Kronstadt museum. The modern wooden lighthouse resembles a giant arrow and still does not have an official name. However, it is often referred to as the Kronstadt Lighthouse, the Petrovskaya Wharf Lighthouse, or the Range Lighthouse.

Despite the restricted access inside, the lighthouse remains popular among locals and tourists. It is especially loved by newlyweds who arrange photo sessions at its base. The lighthouse can be reached by buses or on foot from Anchor Square in 15 minutes. It is located right in the city center, making it convenient to visit.
