Dalmatovsky Local History Museum

The Dalmatovsky Local History Museum opened on May 18, 1962, in the building of the House of Pioneers, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the pioneer organization.

The museum is located in the building of the zemstvo primary school, which is a monument of history and architecture of regional significance and was built in 1912. The museum has departments of paleontology, nature, history, as well as a department dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and an exhibition hall. Regular exhibitions, lectures, lessons of courage, and guided tours of the museum and the Dalmatovsky Holy Assumption Monastery are held here. The museum is visited by over 12,000 people annually.

The museum's collections hold more than 19,000 exhibits. Among the largest collections are paper currency, coins, metal, fabric, and wood products, as well as a documentary fund.

The museum serves as a methodological center for local studies, uniting researchers, folk craftsmen, and cultural custodians. Its activities are aimed at preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the region.
