Alexander Nikolayevich Shchensnovich, an outstanding Russian engineer, led the creation of the first experimental three-phase current power station in Novorossiysk. He made a significant contribution to the development of the city's transport hub. Under his leadership, mechanical workshops were built for manufacturing equipment at the station, as well as access roads and arrival park tracks. Contemporaries who knew Shchensnovich remember him as a demanding and punctual leader, fluent in foreign languages. These qualities did not prevent him from successfully solving complex technical tasks and showing understanding towards the needs of his employees.
