This dacha is one of three built in Bobylsk (now the village of Prosvetchenie) by architect Leonid Nikolaevich Benois in 1890 and 1892. He built them for himself and for his relatives: his sister's husband, entrepreneur Alexander Evaldovich Meisner, and his brother, naval officer Mikhail Nikolaevich Benois.
