In 1894, a few months after the founding of the Saratov Society of Amateur Cyclists, a beautiful wooden building of the velodrome was erected, which became the main venue for the society's events. The cyclodrome had an oval track with a one-sided cross slope and halls for bowling, billiards, lawn tennis, croquet, as well as for gymnastics. Visitors were offered buffet services, bicycle rentals, and dance evenings in the foyer. All rooms were illuminated by electricity.

In the early 1900s, mentions of the cyclodrome disappeared from Saratov's directories. At that time, the society of cyclists was transformed into a sports club, which moved to the modern city center. Now, the former site of the cyclodrome is occupied by the train station market.
