The wooden church was created based on a former savings bank building, transferred to the parish in 1996. In 2003, a wooden tent bell tower was added to it from the west side.

On July 13, 2016, Bishop Ferapont of Kostroma and Galich conducted the Great Consecration of the temple dedicated to St. Gennady of Kostroma and the Miracle Worker of Lyubimograd in the village of Antropovo, Galich district. After that, His Grace Ferapont served the Divine Liturgy with the assistance of numerous clergy from Kostroma and Galich. The archpriest Alexander Shastin, the dean of the Galich district, addressed the gathered with a sermon. In conclusion, as is tradition, a procession was held around the consecrated church.
