Vvedenskoe, a village in the Nekrasovsky District of Yaroslavl Oblast, where the church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary rises on the high right bank of the Volga. This small yet majestic church attracts attention both from the waters of the Volga and the endless fields of the right bank.

The cathedral was built in 1778 with funds from parishioners. Architecturally, it is a five-domed church with a tent-like bell tower. The wall paintings were completed in the 18th century, however, the old three-tiered iconostasis, created in the first half of the 19th century, has not survived. Like many other churches in our country, this cathedral was closed in 1938. During the Soviet era, it housed a construction materials warehouse, and for a long time, the church remained only an architectural monument and a symbol of the former grandeur of the Russian church. However, the changes that came to the country also touched this secluded corner.

In 1991, the church was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. An iconostasis was brought from the village of Markovo in the Borisoglebsky District for its interior decoration. The church has two altars: one in the name of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the other in the name of the Archangel Michael and other Heavenly Hosts. It is now home to the convent of the Holy Presentation Tolga Women's Monastery. The remoteness from busy highways makes this place ideal for a peaceful monastic life. Gradually, the daily life of the sisters of the monastery is being established, and a house with cells is being built.
