The church was first built on this site in 1704 and consecrated in 1705 in honor of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The first priest was Semeon Timofeev, and the deacon was Ivan Nikiforov.

In 1800, a new wooden church was erected on the site of the old one, which was renovated in 1843. The wooden bell tower was restored in 1873.

At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, a stone church was built, which has survived to this day.

The feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated in memory of how the three-year-old Virgin Mary, the future mother of Jesus Christ, was brought to the Jerusalem temple for upbringing and service. This was the fulfillment of her parents' promise, Joachim and Anna, to dedicate her to God in gratitude for the birth of their daughter at an old age. The feast is celebrated on December 4.

The stone church was built in 1895 and consecrated on December 18, 1900. The priest at that time was Peter Matveevich Krasnoselsky.

Currently, the church continues to operate.
