The stone monastery church was built in 1760 on the site of an earlier wooden one, constructed in 1716. After the disbandment of the Spaso-Raevsky Convent in 1764, the church became a parish church. During the Soviet era, it was closed and repurposed as a bus depot. Currently, the building is in a severely dilapidated state.
