The church is located on a hill, not far from the intersection of the main streets of the village. The brick walls are almost completely devoid of facade decoration. To this day, the upper tiers of the bell tower and the portico of the main entrance have not survived. In the 2000s, a new roof was installed on the refectory. This temple reflects local features of the transition from Baroque to early Classicism.

Permission from the diocesan authorities for the procurement of building materials and preparation for the construction of the stone church was obtained in 1792. The church foundation decree, signed by His Grace Gideon on September 24, 1807, prescribed the replacement of the old wooden church with a stone church with the main altar in honor of the Protection of the Mother of God and a chapel in the name of Dmitry of Rostov, according to the approved architectural plan. However, the Dmitriev chapel was not related to the Protection Church but to the wooden Introduction Church. Therefore, the new clergy, the Zubarevs, appealed to the diocese with a request to rename the altars of the building church. The request was granted, and in September 1809, a new decree was issued naming the church in honor of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Additional chapels in the warm church were decided to be named in honor of Dmitry of Rostov and the Protection of the Mother of God.

The construction of the stone church progressed slowly and was completed only in 1821. In 1811, the parish had 364 households and nearly 4000 parishioners. In 1863, a second altar was arranged in the warm chapel, but it is unknown whether this affected the structure of the building. By 1873, the church had three altars: the main Vvedensky in the cold church, the northern in the name of Dmitry of Rostov, and another in honor of the Protection of the Mother of God in the warm church. That year, the parish included 123 settlements with a total of 5276 parishioners. A major reconstruction of the church with an expansion of the warm church took place in 1910. After the reconstruction, the chapels were abolished, leaving only the main Vvedensky. Around the same time, new bells were installed on the bell tower, cast with the funds of peasant Borozdin at the Bakulev factory in Slobodskoy. The church sacristy housed as a sacred relic the 'heavy, broken chains' of St. Ignatius, the first abbot of the Vvedenskaya church.
