A report on the church in honor of the Entry into the Temple of the Holy Mother of God in the village of Illarionovo, Sergač district, for the year 1906, Nizhny Novgorod diocese.

The church was built and consecrated on November 2, 1762, at the initiative of the landowner of the village of Illarionovo, Premier Major Mikhail Grigorievich Sobakin. The building is made of stone, with a bell tower of the same material, sturdy but initially very cramped. In 1903, with the permission of the diocesan authorities, the church was expanded and transformed into a three-altar church. The fence around the temple is made of stone, while the caretaker's lodge is wooden.

The church had two altars. The first altar, located in the main sanctuary and dedicated to the Entry into the Temple of the Holy Mother of God, was replaced with a new one in 1905 due to its dilapidation. The new altar was consecrated on November 29 by the local archpriest, Protoiereus Pavel Petrovich Korinthsky, along with the surrounding clergy.

The second altar, previously located on the left side of the church and dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, was moved to the right side and consecrated by the same archpriest on June 6, 1905.

The third altar was arranged on the left side of the church in honor of the Archangel Michael and the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov the Wonderworker. It was consecrated on September 17, 1906, by the same archpriest Pavel Korinthsky with the surrounding clergy.

Church holidays are celebrated on December 6, May 9, November 21, July 19, and January 2.
