Ancient sources mention that the merchant from Moscow, Antipin Gavriil Fedorovich, built two stone churches in the Ioanno-Predtechensky Monastery. One of them, a cold church, had three domes and was dedicated to the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, with chapels for the prophet Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, as well as for the holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian. The second, a warm church with five domes, was consecrated in honor of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple. The warm church was adjacent to stone cells for the abbot and the brethren, making it resemble a domestic church. Unlike the cold church, it occupied a small space on the upper floor and did not stand out architecturally.
