On September 10, 2004, the solemn opening of the Church-Chapel of All Saints took place at the city cemetery in Ulybyshevo. Fifteen organizations participated in its construction. The church was built with the funds of sponsors in a record short time, just three and a half months.
The altar stone of the church-chapel was laid on May 21, 2004. The builders promised to complete the work by City Day, although few believed it was possible. Building and finishing a structure 18 meters long, 9 meters wide, and 21 meters high is no easy task. However, three and a half months later, a solemn service was held in the church.
The idea of erecting a chapel at the cemetery was proposed by the diocese ten years ago, but at that time, the owners of neighboring gardens opposed it. The project only gained momentum in 2003 when the city authorities supported the construction. A fundraising campaign was announced, and sponsors were found.
The city treasury did not allocate funds for the construction of the church. All materials and labor were paid for by the sponsors.
