Church of All Saints in Syzran

Фото 1
In Syzran, a chapel in the name of All Saints has opened for parishioners, located opposite the Syzran meat processing plant. Previously, there was a city cemetery and a stone church dedicated to All Saints at this site. The brick chapel with a single dome was built in 1996 on the site of the cemetery, which was closed during the Soviet era. In 1854, a church in the name of All Saints was erected in this cemetery, distinguished by its Byzantine style. It was destroyed in the 1960s. The church was made of stone and built by merchant Ivan Matveev Myasnikov. It had two altars: the main one in the name of All Saints and a side altar in the name of Saint Great Martyr Catherine.
