The Ascension Church is located in the village of Sineglazovo, Chelyabinsk region, at Shosseynaya Street, 1A. This single-altar church was founded in 1863, presumably designed by architect S. L. Kislytsin, and completed in 1870. The construction was funded by donations from Cossacks and local residents. The interior paintings are done in the Rublev style using white and blue tones.

Previously, the church grounds included a priest's house, a church shop, and utility buildings, but only the church building has survived to this day. Architecturally, it is a rectangular non-columned church with a quadrangular apse to the east and a refectory with a bell tower to the west. The church has elongated proportions and strict symmetry. The main volume is a non-columned square with a tented vault, topped with a dome and a cross. The altar apse is lower than the main building, while the refectory is the same height as the altar and is covered with a rectangular vault. All rooms are connected by arched openings. The bell tower is a single-tiered octagon with a conical roof, a small dome, and a cross. The length of the church is 18 meters, and the width is 6 meters.

The church, located on the shore of Lake Sineglazovo, serves as an architectural dominant for five settlements: Sineglazovo, Voznesenka, Oktyabrsky, Isakovo, and Kalachevo. According to an inspection on March 11, 2008, conducted by the Regional Center for Technical Inventory, the church building was recognized as emergency with a 70% wear.

In May 2009, emergency and restoration works began, including site planning, earth removal, dismantling of the damaged roof, preparing the walls for plastering, laying and plastering the walls, whitewashing, constructing a drum for the central dome, roofing, installing floors and ceilings, doors and windows, making porches, raising the bell tower, providing heating and lighting, as well as cleaning and landscaping the area.

As of today, restoration continues, and utilities are being installed: gas supply, electricity, drainage, and sewage.
