The Ascension of the Lord Church in the village of Semety, Kstovo District, was built in 1804 thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. The building is made of stone and has a bell tower. The church has two altars: the main one is dedicated to the Ascension of the Lord, and the side one to the Holy Life-Giving Trinity. According to decree No. 308 of the Holy Synod dated February 14, 1885, a staff was established in the church, including a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. The priest was Pavel Luzin, the deacon was Alexander Tutyatin, and the psalmist was Pavel Maslennikov. A zemstvo school operated at the church, where 80 children were educated. The total number of parishioners was 1,700 people from the village of Semety and surrounding villages. The church elder was peasant Mikhail Dyatlov, who was responsible for collecting donations. The collected funds were used to purchase a bell, banners, and church utensils for the altar. In the 1920s, the church was destroyed and is currently inactive.
