The village of Razdolnoye, previously known as Temnovskoye, likely got its name due to the dense pine forest that surrounded it. Initially, the village was part of the parish of the Holy Procopius Church in the village of Galkino. The history of the Ascension Church begins with the establishment of the Temnov parish. Three villages, Korovyakova, Barannikova, and Temnovo, decided to separate from their parishes and appealed to the diocese, which responded positively. In 1800, these villages united, and the center became the village of Temnovo. That same year, with the funds from local residents, the first wooden church with one altar was laid. By 1802, construction was completed, and the main altar was consecrated in honor of the Ascension of the Lord.

With the growth of the congregation, in 1811 the church was rebuilt, and a side chapel dedicated to Archangel Michael appeared on its right side. In 1865, a new stone Ascension Church was built with funds from the parishioners, and local craftsmen carried out the work. The wooden church was sold to Kamyshlov for 270 rubles and moved to the city cemetery.

By the time construction was completed, the village of Barannikova had separated from the parish, and since 1859 its residents began attending the Reutinskaya Church. In 1899, the Ascension Church was renovated and adorned. The church had two houses for the clergy and two community houses.

After the adoption of the law separating the Church from the state, the Temnov Church faced repression. In 1922, the Bolsheviks seized all the church's valuables, and in 1937 the church was closed. The executive committee placed a village club in the building, for which the structure was altered: the drum and cross were removed from the dome.

Old-timers recall that when the cross was thrown down, the sky darkened, thunder rumbled, and lightning flashed, but this did not stop the people. The workers struggled to climb onto the roof, and when they finally succeeded, the cross would not budge. Attempts to remove it were unsuccessful, and it was decided to destroy the cross along with the bell tower, but the equipment failed. In the end, the bell tower and cross were left, and the club was still placed in the church building.

In the summer of 2005, a Orthodox parish in the name of the Ascension of the Lord was registered in the village of Razdolnoye, renamed from Temnovo in 1961. The abandoned church building was cleared of debris and is maintained in cleanliness. Occasionally, services are held there.
