In 1992, Father Evgeny completed his studies at the correspondence department of the Moscow Theological Seminary and was sent to the village of Baskakovo in the Gagarin district of the Smolensk region, where he served in the parish of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Thanks to his efforts, a chapel in honor of the martyr Paraskeva was built, and a procession was held there on the ninth week after Easter. Since 1997, Evgeny has been serving in Moscow at the Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist in the village of Ivanovskoye. In 2002, he moved to the Vladimir diocese, where Archbishop Evlogy appointed him as the temporary rector of the Transfiguration Church in the village of Smolnevo in the Kirzhach district, and later as the permanent rector of the parish in the village of Novovoskresenskoe. The Ascension of the Lord Church was severely damaged, but in 1997 it was returned to the faithful. The vaults, columns, and iconostases of the two chapels, Archangel Michael and Stephen of Makhri, as well as the main Ascension one, were restored. From 2012 to 2014, the complete restoration of the church was completed. The rector of the church is Archpriest Evgeny Sergeyevich Anosov. Currently, regular services are held at the Ascension of the Lord Church.
