The church in the village of Markovo was built in 1800 with funds from Moscow merchants Korzinkins. The temple has three altars: the Ascension of Christ, Saint Andrew the Fool for Christ, and the Protection of the Holy Virgin.
The church owns 36 desyatins of land. The parish includes four villages: Markovo, Pokroshitovo, Novoe Seltso, and Krasnoramenye. In total, there are 69 houses, with 192 men and 245 women living there.
