In the working settlement of Kovernino, there was an Orthodox church dedicated to the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The main altar was consecrated in her honor, while the side chapels were dedicated to the Ascension of the Lord and the Theodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God. The church was subjected to fires twice and was later destroyed. Now, a restaurant stands in its place, and in memory of the church, a Cross of Remembrance has been erected.

In 1993, services began to be held in a former warehouse near the bus station in the center of the settlement. This space was converted into a house of prayer in honor of All Saints. Later, the construction of a stone church began, which was consecrated by the ruling bishop of the Diocese in honor of the Ascension of the Lord on September 16, 1999.
