The Ascension Church is the only functioning church in the city of Kharabali. Its construction was completed in 1992. In 2002, a 17-meter tall bell tower made of red brick was erected nearby.

Previously, the village had a beautiful stone St. Michael the Archangel Church with five domes and two floors, built with funds raised by the faithful. However, after the arrival of Soviet power, this church was destroyed.
