Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Vysheslavskoye

Фото 1
The village in question belonged to the Suzdal Protection Convent for Maidens. In 1806, a stone church was built here in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, and in 1876, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, a stone bell tower was constructed. The warm stone church with an altar dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was erected in 1816 also with the support of the parishioners. Church documents have been preserved in full: there are copies of the metric books and confession lists starting from 1790, and an inventory of church property was compiled in 1851.
