The fence around the church is also wooden. The cemetery is located one verst from the temple and is enclosed by a fence. The church has one altar and is dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. It is 410 versts from Kostroma, 95 versts from Varnavino. The nearest churches are: the Nikolayevskaya church in the village of Vai, 6 versts away, the Kazanskaya church in the village of Cherdakovo, 15 versts, and the Troitskaya church in the village of Karpovo, 23 versts. The temple was destroyed by fire during the Great Patriotic War.
