On November 14, 2017, a capsule with a certificate was laid in the altar of the new Church of the Exaltation of the Honorable and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord in the village of Strochkovo, Gorodetsky District. The church was built on the site of the lost one, and the builders of the new estate of the collective farm, as if foreseeing this, left this place undeveloped. The people's path to this place did not disappear, as a monument to fellow countrymen who died in the Great Patriotic War was erected in the square. Now both shrines are located nearby. The new church is built in the same proportions as the previous one and recreated according to old blueprints and photographs. Bishop Augustine conducted a prayer service and the ceremony of laying the capsule, reading the certificate placed inside it. The certificate states that the church is founded in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the village of Strochkovo under Patriarch of All Russia Kirill, Bishop of Gorodets and Vetluga Augustine in 2017, thanks to the efforts of parishioners and builders E.V. Kochetov and Hieromonk Andrei Kochetov. Then, the Rite of Blessing of the Crosses, which will be installed on the domes of the church, was conducted.
