The history of the church's construction can be divided into three stages: the first, the erection of the winter part of the church in 1787, the second, the construction of the summer church in 1805, and the third, the erection of the bell tower in 1830.

In 1993, the church was included in the list of cultural heritage sites.

In 2019, an initiative group was formed to restore the church, and work began on landscaping and conducting services. A state historical and cultural examination was also carried out.

On May 28, 2020, the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was included in the unified state register of cultural heritage sites, monuments of history and culture of the peoples of the Russian Federation as a site of local significance.
