Chernukha, a village in the Lyskovsky district. In 1824, a stone church dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built here, with chapels dedicated to the Forerunner and Boris and Gleb. In 1939, the church was closed and soon destroyed. In 2010, thanks to the funds from the villagers, the construction of a new wooden church with a tented roof and bell tower began. According to local historian Irina Naumova, in 1825 a wooden cemetery church was built in Chernukha in honor of the icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow.'
