In 1905, thanks to the efforts of peasant Yakov Petrovich Kirsanov and with financial support from the local parish community and private benefactors, a church was built dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord.

The church was made of stone, with a bell tower of the same material, heated by three stoves, and had an iron roof. The roof featured four domes, while the bell tower had three. The church housed five bells weighing 120 poods 39 pounds, 31 poods 8 pounds, 5 poods, and two just over a pood. Next to the church was a small watchman's lodge, as well as a library for the clergy.

The church staff included a priest and a psalmist. In 1906, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, a house was built for the priest.

The parish included the villages of Alyoshino and Rogozhino, where in 1906, there were 217 and 209 believers, respectively.

In 1936, the church was closed, and a club was established in its building.

The revival of the temple began in 2002 with the creation of a church community in the village. On September 27, 2007, on the day of the Exaltation of the Holy Life-Giving Cross, the first Divine Liturgy was held in the revived church.
