Yuryevo, a village located in the Gagin district, is known as an archaeological monument due to the Yuryevo settlement. The village is home to the Resurrection Church, also known as the Church of the Resurrection of the Word, which is a monument of urban planning and architecture. The church was built between 1819 and 1829. At the All-Russian scientific conference held in Ulyanovsk, it was revealed that documents found in Kazan in 2013 confirm that the architect of the church was Mikhail Petrovich Korinfsky. The site is under state protection under number 22. The construction of the church was carried out by the landowner A.S. Golitsyn.
