According to the state lists of historical and cultural monuments of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Voskresenskaya Church is located in the working settlement of Voskresenskoe and is a monument of urban planning and architecture of regional significance. This object dates back to 1828-1858.

According to information provided by the 'Places of Memory-2013' project by Dina Korotaeva, the church is dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ. Its construction began in the summer of 1828 and lasted thirty years due to a fire in 1830. The cathedral was ready for consecration only in 1858. It is a four-altar, five-domed cathedral with a tall bell tower, built on the site of an old wooden church that had become dilapidated by that time.

In 1938, the church in the village of Voskresenskoe was closed and converted into a House of Culture. In the late 1950s to early 1960s, the bell tower, narthex, refectory, and the upper parts of the church were completely destroyed; the interior saw the destruction of columns and vaults. In 2000, the church was returned to the believers.
