Since ancient times, the Veredeevo community was under the administration of the Shelokshan volost authority. The first church here burned down, and there is no information about its founding date. In 1774, a new wooden church was built, and in 1814 it was rebuilt in stone and became a three-altar church. The main altar was consecrated in honor of the Renewal of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ, the right chapel was dedicated to the Prophet Elijah, and the left to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. A zemstvo school for boys operated at the church. In the 1930s, the church was closed and for a long time was used as a warehouse.
