Shpilevo is a village in the Perevozsky district, where the architectural monument, the Resurrection Church, is located. The church has a main cold altar dedicated to the Renewal of the Resurrection Church, as well as warm chapels: the right one in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the left one dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church was built in 1846. During the Soviet era, the church was closed.

In November 1937, on the eve of the feast of Archangel Michael, the priest of the village of Shpilevo, Alexander Stragorodsky, was shot. He was accused of being related to Metropolitan Sergius.
