The Resurrection Church in the village of Zinovyevo was built during a wave of national revival after the victory in the Patriotic War of 1812. This large building in the classical style features rather austere facades. The church was surrounded by a stone fence with wrought iron grilles crafted by skilled blacksmiths. The only surviving wrought iron grille was preserved by the church's elder, Zoya, the granddaughter of the last priest, Sergey, who served in the temple in the 1930s. The village of Zinovyevo, with its ancient history, was populous. Architectural monuments such as the Palenov House, now a library and residential apartment, the Snegiryova Tea House, used as housing, and the Belyushev Trading Shop, now a club, have been preserved here. During the Soviet era, the church gradually fell into disrepair, but thanks to the efforts of local residents, restoration began in the early 1990s. Over 16 years, urgent repair work was carried out on the apse, main volume, and refectory with the chapels of St. Nicholas and St. Demetrius of Thessalonica. The possibility of installing an iconostasis in the main volume is being considered. A priest from the district center Kolchugino is invited to conduct services. However, the parish lacks the strength and funds to complete the restoration of the bell tower and fence. Modern Zinovyevo does not have developed agricultural production, and the indigenous population is gradually being displaced by summer residents.
