The Church of the Resurrection of Christ was built in 1847 with funds from Moscow merchant Fyodor Fyodorovich Nibilkov and parishioners. This stone structure features five domes and a tiered bell tower. In the same year, the church was decorated, and carved gilded iconostases were installed in its chapels.

The church has three altars: in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, and the Great Martyr Theodore Tyron. The Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God received special veneration, as it was considered miraculous after saving the community from a cholera epidemic in 1871.

In 1891, a church parish school was opened at the church. The church was closed from 1932 to 1934, and during the Soviet era, it housed a warehouse.
