In 1795, with the funds of parishioners, a stone Resurrection Church was built in the village of Yakshino, which included a stone bell tower, a fence, and brick gates. The church had three altars: in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, Saint Archangel Michael, and the Bodiless Powers, as well as Saint Sergius of Radonezh, the miracle worker. In 1863, the church was part of the seventh class of the 2nd Soligalich Diocesan District and owned 33 desyatinas of land. The parish included five settlements with 57 households, where 554 people lived, including 235 men and 319 women. The church staff included a priest and a deacon, and there were two wooden chapels in the parish villages.

By 1911, the church owned 1 desyatina and 950 square fathoms of homestead land, 28 desyatinas and 1540 square fathoms of arable land, and 2 desyatinas of forest. The staff included a priest and a psalmist. The annual income from services amounted to 350-400 rubles. The priest had his own house, while the psalmist lived in rented accommodation. The parish included five settlements with 1024 parishioners, of whom 488 were men and 536 were women. The main occupation of the parishioners was agriculture with seasonal work.

As of May 11, 1933, there were 6 bells on the bell tower of the Resurrection Church, with a total weight of 85 poods. As a result of the reduction of rural councils in the Soligalich district and the liquidation of the Vysokovsky rural council, the village of Yakshino and the parish around it became part of the Trofimovsky rural council around 1938, which had previously been included in the Soligalich district from the Totem district.

Currently, the vaults of the altar, refectory, and the main part of the Resurrection Church have collapsed, and the spire of the bell tower was destroyed even before the war. Nevertheless, poorly discernible fragments of oil painting, created in 1883 by artist Nikolai Likhachev, have survived in the main part of the church. The Resurrection Church is a monument of federal significance, but no measures for its reconstruction or conservation are being taken.

The once populous village of Yakshino has completely disappeared, and the last residents left in the mid-1980s.
