The Church of the Renewal of the Temple of the Resurrection of Christ in the village of Voskresenskoye on the Volga, in Shubino, was built in 1779 with funds from parishioners. This stone two-story building has two altars: on the upper floor, the Renewal of the Temple of the Resurrection of Christ, and on the lower, warm floor, an altar in honor of the Kazan Mother of God. The church is a parish church and is notable for its sturdy construction.

There is a tradition, confirmed by testimonies, that before 1779 the church was located right on the bank of the Volga, about a verst from the current location of the village. At that time, it was wooden, and the remnants of its iconostasis have survived to this day. Due to frequent floods, the clergy were forced to move to a higher place, where the church was also relocated. The icons of the Kazan Mother of God and the Korsun Mother of God are particularly venerated.

The church owns 36 desyatins of land, of which 3 desyatins are residential, 12 are arable, 15 are for haymaking, and 6 desyatins are overgrown with shrubs and firewood forest. In 1800, the Uglich merchant A. Tatarnikov donated two plots of land totaling 80 desyatins 910 square fathoms on the right bank of the Volga for the benefit of the church and the clergy. The church's capital amounts to 1073 rubles in tickets. The church owns a school with an iron roof, a house for the priest, a house for the deacon, a house for the psalmist, and a church watchman's lodge.

The parish of the village includes 15 villages: 12 of them are located in the Myshkin district on the left bank of the Volga, and 3 in the Uglich district on the right bank. Only the clergy and the church watchman live in the village of Voskresenskoye. The village is situated on an elevation. The total number of parishioners is 1411 people: 641 men and 770 women. Communication is difficult during ice drift and storms. The clergy staff includes a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist, and its capital amounts to 6139 rubles in tickets.
