The village of Voskresenskaya Slobodka is located 25 versts from Vladimir and 13 versts from Suzdal, on the banks of the Nerl River. In the mid-16th century, it belonged to Prince Pyotr Mikhailovich Shchenyatev. A document from 1558, concerning an agreement between Prince Shchenyatev and the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery, mentions the village of Zhadinka, located half a verst from Voskresenskaya Slobodka and bordering the prince's possessions. The old name of the village, "Shchenyachya Slobodka," is likely related to the surname of the owners and is still more popular among local residents than the official name.

The village has a stone two-story church, built in 1743, with a stone bell tower. The church has four altars: on the lower floor, the main altar in honor of the Resurrection of Christ and two side altars, in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and Saint Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica; on the upper floor, the altar in the name of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir. All church documents, including copies of metric books and confession lists, have been preserved since 1780, and an inventory of church property was compiled in 1843.

According to the staff, there is a priest and a psalmist serving at the church. The church has 1 desyatina of estate land and 33 desyatinas of arable and haymaking land, for which there is a plan. The income of the clergy from the land amounts to about 300 rubles in silver, and from church services, another 300 rubles, totaling about 600 rubles per year. The clergy's houses are located on church land and are their property. The parish includes one village with 111 households, where 404 men and 414 women reside.
