The village of Voskresenskoye, also known as Voskresenye, is located 85 versts from Vladimir and 10 versts from the district town of Pokrov. According to the clerical books from 1628-1631, there was a burial site of Voskresensky in the Argunov volost with a wooden church of the Resurrection of Christ. The church had a Deesis, royal doors, local icons, vestments, books, and other church property. From 1707 to 1709, there were 98 households in the parish of the Resurrection Church.

In 1711, a new church was built in Voskresensk, as evidenced by a record in the patriarchal books about the issuance of an antimins. In 1818, the construction of a stone church began on the site of the former wooden church, and it was consecrated in 1827. The church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, in the warm refectory in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. The documents are kept in order: copies of the metric books since 1802 and confession lists since 1829. The church staff includes a priest and a psalmist. Their maintenance is provided by income: 56 rubles in interest from capital, up to 50 rubles from arable and haymaking land, and up to 800 rubles from services and sacramental rites per year. The clergy live in their own houses on donated land from the landowners. The parish includes the village and the villages of Zheludyeva, Yakovleva, Olekhov, Panfilova, Zabolotye, and Pustynka, where the clerical records list 641 men and 745 women. Since 1891, a church-parish school has been operating in the village of Voskresensk.
