Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the Voskresenye Area (Yaroslavl Region)

Фото 1
The village of Voskresenskoye, located in Volkov, was renamed Kropotkino during Soviet times but later ceased to exist. The village had a stone church with three altars: the summer altar was dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, while the winter altars were dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Fyodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God. The church was closed in 1940, and in the 1980s and 1990s, it was destroyed. Only the ruins of the base remain to this day. The cemetery in the village continues to function, but it can only be accessed in dry weather via an earthen embankment from the Miglino-Fyodorovo road.
