On the high bank of the Sukhona River stands a temple complex, distinguished by its tall bell tower. Nearby is a massive cubic building, in which the church is not immediately recognizable. This is the oldest church in the Totem settlement, built between 1744 and 1749 and consecrated in honor of the Resurrection of Christ. Unfortunately, the octagon and dome have been lost, making the church resemble ancient chambers. The altar apse and narthex are low, creating the impression that they are service annexes. The lower tier of the Resurrection Church is almost devoid of decoration, but the windows of the upper tier are adorned with frames characteristic of late 17th-century 'Moscow Baroque.'
