The Resurrection Church in the village of Starinsky Pogost is a massive building with a large five-domed structure, a spacious warm refectory with its own altar barrier, and a bell tower attached through a narthex. The capacity and overall dimensions of the main volume are significantly increased by the northern and southern aisles. The complex system of arches supporting the rotunda and the vaulted ceilings of the aisles give the interior a majestic beauty and uniqueness. The walls of the church were adorned with frescoes.

Of particular interest are the memorial stones, mostly embedded in the southern wall of the refectory. These stones contain inscriptions in memory of the relatives of the donors buried here, who somehow participated in the construction of the church. The face of the stones is visible both on the facade at the plinth level and inside the building at the window sill level, where they serve as part of the window reveals. Ancient dates can be seen on the stones, such as 1724 and others related to the 18th century.

Currently, the church is in a state of emergency: the roof, windows, and doors are missing, everything is open. However, it is not abandoned. Instead of the village of Starinsky Pogost, there is now only a vast active cemetery, and the parish of the church consists of 2-3 people living in the village of Lukinskoye, located near the church. The parishioners have tidied up the church, whitewashed the walls up to human height, brought modest icons, and so on. The church is served by a priest from the women's colony in the village of Golovino, located 7 km from Starinsky Pogost, Father Andrei.
