On December 20, 2017, a new dome and spire topped with a gilded cross were installed on the bell tower. The historical dome existed until the mid-1990s and was lost around 1994-1995 due to a lightning strike that caused a fire in the bell tower. At that time, the wooden stairs and ceilings burned, and the burning bell tower resembled a candle. In 2013, bells were installed in the bell tower. Since September 20, 1996, when the entire complex of buildings, including the church, bell tower, gatehouse, and almshouse, was transferred to the Holy Vvedensky Island Women's Monastery, restoration work has been ongoing. The rector of the church, Hieromonk Mercury, Dvinin V.I., plays a key role in this process, and thanks to his prayers and efforts, this complex task is progressing. However, there are not enough funds for restoration. The fence is deteriorating, two entrance arches on the northern side have been lost, as well as one of the church buildings to the right of the bell tower.
