The church is located in one of the rooms of a former hospital built between 1868 and 1872. In the autumn of 1996, work began to establish a home church here. Sketches for it were developed by Tolyatti artists: Alexander Petrov, his father Viktor Petrov, Alexander Shalyakin, as well as PTIS instructor Vladimir Nadein along with his students and carpenter Alexander Inyutkin.

On January 14, 1997, the first water blessing service was held in the church, and regular worship services began in February. On June 1, 1997, on the 260th anniversary of Stavropol, Bishop Sergey consecrated the altar of the church in honor of the Bright Resurrection of Christ.

In 2007, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the monastery, the Church of the Resurrection of Christ was completely renovated. The interior of the church changed significantly: the walls and ceilings of the altar, choir, and narthex were adorned with wall icon paintings, while the walls of the central part were decorated with Orthodox ornamentation. The exterior of the building was also updated, and flower beds were planted along the road to the church.
