The stone church with an altar in honor of the Resurrection of Christ was built in 1848. In 1898, parishioners replaced the wooden crosses on the domes with iron ones covered in gold.
In 1931, the Resurrection Church was closed. During the war, the building was used as a grain storage facility and later became a place for keeping livestock.
Since 2005, restoration work has begun in the church. The first service took place on December 30 of the same year.
In 2007, a cross that previously belonged to the Resurrection Church was transferred to Pod'yachevka from the village of Novodevichye during a solemn procession. Cadets from the Syzran Higher Military Aviation School became regular helpers in the restoration of the shrine.
