Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Pavlovka

Фото 1
In 1827, a large stone church with three altars was built with funds from Prince Nikolai Obolensky, based on a design by local architect Alexander Levin. In 1929, the church was closed, and the last priest, Vladimir Piksanov, was arrested right during the service. In 1932, the bell tower and domes were dismantled, and the building was repurposed as a cultural center. During the reconstruction, a crypt with the remains of clergymen was discovered under the altar, which was left in place.

Currently, the former church building houses the district cultural center.
