In the village of Nazarovo, there were two stone churches: the Theological and the Resurrection. The first one, the summer church, had two altars: in honor of the apostle and evangelist John the Theologian and the great martyr Paraskeva Friday. It was built in 1790 with funds from the parishioners. The second, the winter church, had three altars: the Resurrection of Christ, the Kazan Mother of God, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and was erected in 1777 with funds from the landowner G. Chagin.

The village also had three chapels, two of which were stone. One of them was located in the village of Gusevo, four versts from the village, and the other, in the village itself, was 50 fathoms from the church and was built in memory of a miraculous event on October 17, 1888. The first chapel was erected in 1889 with funds from the Riga merchant Kliment Ivanov, and the second, in 1890 with funds from the St. Petersburg craftsman Dmitry Khrisonfov Filippov. The third chapel, made of wood, was located in the village of Sobolevo and had existed since ancient times.
