The village of Misailovo is located 4 versts from the district town of Kovrov and 80 versts from Vladimir. From the tax books of the patriarchal treasury, it is known that in the early 17th century there was a church in the village in honor of the Resurrection of the Lord. In 1672, it was transferred to the Suzdal Archbishop. Until the 1830s, the church was wooden and had two side altars: in honor of the holy prophet Elijah and the venerable Sergius of Radonezh.

In 1837, due to its dilapidation, the church was rebuilt with the permission of Bishop Parfeny. As a result, only one altar remained in honor of the Resurrection of the Lord, while the side altars were abolished. The repairs were carried out at the expense of the parishioners. In 1866, they reinforced the church with a stone foundation, covered it with iron, clad it with planks on the outside, plastered it on the inside, and updated the iconostasis and icons.

In 1880, the parishioners built a wooden bell tower, replacing the old bell tower on four pillars, covered with planks. The church preserved ancient icons, especially revered by local residents and neighboring villages: the icon of the Resurrection of the Lord, the holy prophet Elijah, and the venerable Sergius of Radonezh.

Church documents include copies of metric books from 1803 and confession lists from 1829. An inventory of church property was compiled in 1886. The church was assigned to the parish of the village of Sannikovo, bringing an income of 152 rubles per year.
