The first mentions of the Church in the name of the Resurrection of Christ in Listvinsky Pogost appear in the patriarchal revenue books from 1634, when it was noted as newly built. Probably, there was no church here before this time, as it is not mentioned among the vacant church lands of Vladimir district.
From 1666 to 1676, there was no clergy at the Resurrection Church, and the church land was rented out to various individuals, as indicated in the revenue books. In 1692, the parish of the Resurrection Church included 4 yards of landowners and 10 yards of peasants, as well as 3 quarters of arable land and 30 copens of hay meadows. In 1710, another wooden church was built in Listvinsky Pogost in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin. Both wooden churches, the Resurrection and the Protection, existed until the early 20th century.
By 1804, a stone church in the name of the Resurrection of Christ was built with the funds of landowner Porchkova, with an altar in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin. In 1845 and 1847, the refectory of the church was expanded, and an altar in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was arranged in it. At the same time, the stone bell tower was rebuilt. Since then, the church has remained unchanged.
The church is quite well-equipped with utensils and holy icons, although the sacristy is not rich. The Theotokos of Tikhvin icon, located behind the altar of the main church, is especially revered by the parishioners. A handwritten altar Gospel has been preserved in the church, the time of its writing is unknown. Another Gospel was published in 1685 with the inscription: "By the decree of His Holiness Patriarch Ioakim of Moscow and all Russia of the eastern and northern lands, this book is the altar Gospel given to the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the Listvinsky stan of Vladimir district, by the nobleman and lieutenant colonel Vasily Simonov son Meshcherin instead of the Gospel book, which was taken from that church by the decree of the printing office, written on parchment."
On the margin, there is also an inscription: "In the year 7200, this book was given by the clerk Joseph Kinov son Avramov from the Chudov Monastery to the Church of the Resurrection of Christ with the priest of that church Athanasius Ivanov." On one of the chalices, there is an inscription: "This vessel was donated by the widow of lieutenant colonel Praskovya Ivanovna Arletova to the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Listvinsky, in the year of our Lord 1783."
The parish has a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist as per the established staff.
Since 1891, a church-parish school has been operating in Listvinsky Pogost, where 41 students studied in 1896. At the Dubasov factory, there is a two-class ministerial school with 71 students in the same year. At the Larin factory, there is a one-class folk school, where 70 students were studying at that time.
