The estate of the noble Voeykovs, known as "Olshanka", was located in the northeast, 18 kilometers from Uvarovo. The estate featured a vast park with three ponds, surrounded by an earthen rampart. The manor house stood in a clearing among oaks, linden trees, birches, and pines, not far from the river Shibryaika. Outside the park were stables. In the last years of his life, Alexei Vasilyevich was troubled by old wounds. After his death in 1825, the estate passed to Voeykova Vera Nikolaevna.

In 1843, their daughter, Maria Alexeyevna, who was passionate about painting and children's literature, married archaeologist and bibliographer Dmitry Vasilyevich Polenov. An acquaintance with Polenov's friend, artist K.A. Moldavsky, likely prompted Vera Nikolaevna to fulfill a shared dream with her late husband to build a church in Olshanka, now known as Krasnoe Znamya. The Church of the Resurrection of Christ the Savior, designed by K.A. Moldavsky, was conceived as a massive hexagon on a high basement with two symmetrical bell towers and an apse. Its construction began in 1843 and was completed in 1869 under the guidance of Professor R.I. Kuzmin.

The church amazed with its unusual hexagonal volume, chimneys laid in the basements and walls, as well as "Polish" pine parquet, which was lower in the center than the entrance level.
